I will be in San Diego mid june and would like to see if the Pac. ocean sails as nice as the Atl . I would like to bum a ride with someone . I will know the specific dates later . Thanks

I live in Riverside, about 80 miles from San Diego. Our 26M is stored on our driveway. I am not yet familiar with sailing in Mission Bay/ San Diego Harbor.
If you have a rental car, I'd be happy to meet you at Dana Point, which is a terrific marina north of San Diego. Typical winds are zero before noon and 10-15 mph in the P.M. until sundown.
I have sailed in the East many years ago.
The big difference is:
in California, if you want to go home in the evening, DON'T HEAD TOWARDS THE SUN!
Otherwise, sailing is about the same, but slightly better on the left coast.
Please advise.
