spare wheel for mac trailer

Post by swede »

I would like to purchase a spare wheel for my standard mac trailer,
does anybody know what type of vehicle the wheels belong to, or does anybody know where I can purchase one.

Hi Kevin,
I've got a mate who is in the tyre business, he will be able to identify what size/style rim & tyre you need. He is away on hols at the moment but I will contact him when he returns.

Looking forward to catching up with you at easter on the lakes.....Cheers, John (Deja Blue)

Try Beaurepairs.

For the new trailer:
225/75R/5C
15x7

I think the salesman said the rims could be the same as a Nissan Navara (don't quote me on that though, it was been a while ago when i made my purchase).

I got these from Northern tool. Fit well and were inexpensive

Just realized you were not in the US. Not sure if it would be cheaper to buy local or not. But the above unit fits great for US$42

Hi Kevin
I just bought one from Swan Tyres in Perth its a 15x7 Mullins Ford Ute wheel With a big Hub bore hole. the new one is 3mm smaller than the crappy OME Chinese one still fits good and the Australian quality miles ahead Cost $90 my advice get 2 and keep OME for spares.
Part number 5x114.3 et10p
Cheers DAZ..

i've believe they are early ford rims later model have too small a centre.....however giving the load on only two wheels......a car weighs 1500-1750 kgs on 4 wheels and a Mac weighs??????2000kgs plus??????.So I purchased dedicated alloy trailer wheels clearly rated at 1480 kgs each fitted with truck tyres....700 odd dollars for 2.....expensive but hopefully peace of mind
