There is the Las Vegas Bay MacGregor Association for Lake Mead. I do not know of any nation wide club.

Here is the Venture/Macgregor sailing club of Dallas...the website is undergoing some updates as it appears, but the folks are really nice...I joined two months ago.

Mods - is there a comprehensive list of Mac clubs in NA anywhere??
Maybe this thread could turn into that, and be retitled so that it can be found easily
"List of Mac Clubs" or the like

Under the "Resources" drop down menu above there is a link for "Sailing Links". And then on that page there is a link to "Clubs and Organizations" (or something like that).
Seems as if that is the place to put links to sailing clubs and especially Mac sailing clubs.
Personally I hope I move somewhere where I can join a club...sounds like most of them have activities that I would enjoy participating in.
Cheers,
Jim

Right you are, Jim - thanks for pointing that out!c130king wrote:Under the "Resources" drop down menu above there is a link for "Sailing Links". And then on that page there is a link to "Clubs and Organizations" (or something like that).

I'll ask Heath to have a look at this list and add what he can. Perhaps those of you who know of clubs such as those listed in this thread should PM Heath with the necessary information (proper club name and the URL for the web link - if no URL than perhaps the email address of the club secretary.)

Welcome Aboard Bubba!!
Nice to have you as a new member of the MYCBC (MacGregor Yacht Club of British Columbia).
We are having our fist official event next weekend in your backyard! The "Regatta" in Blaine Washington. (May 1-3) Hope you can make it up and introduce yourself to everyone at the pot-luck dinner Saturday night. Some of our members that do not have their boats wet yet, drive down just for the dinner and fun!
As a new member, you will receive a "New Members Welcome Package". This package includes; a Club Burgee, a copy of our Charter Bi-Laws, a Passage Planning Cruising Chart of Georgia Straight (including the U.S. San Juan Islands), a list of local Mac-Friendly marinas and launch ramps, a club members list (with boat names so you can recognize everyone on the water), option to the annual club yearbook, invitation to the year-end dinner, option to buy club paraphernalia using official club logo, club members card (recognized for discounts at local marinas), etc.
For anyone who has a local MacClub, I highly recommend joining, it has turned out really well for most people.

If you have a MacGregor club or organization that isn't listed under Resources/Sailing Links, then please submit the URL for inclusion. To do this, go to the appropriate category and click on Suggest a Link.
