lack of summer sailing
lack of summer sailing
hi everybody. i'm new on this board and to my boat. but my summer sailing season just came to a halt. it seems that you need a right hand to do this and i just fed mine to a condensor fan. broke my pinky (it needed a steel pin) and on my third finger i shaved part of the bone and cut the tendon to lift the finger.so the doc said a minimum of 6 weeks before i can try again. however last time i was sailing on mission bay i saw more 26x's then i have seen before. 1 shares dry storage with me at campland on the bay,1 was at anchore at campland, and 2 more were on the water. and if you need to tell me i can't spell it's ok because i read 980 words per minute with 98% accuracy and my mom used to ask me how i could read so fast and not spell, i told her i didn't have to spell they were already spelled for me. when we go back to sailing we will probaly use the big bay as it is beautiful with the skyscrapers and cruise ships. also it is more sailboats than jet skies. and if the whole post doesn't make sense it's ok. i'm on pain pills

I know how you feel tore a muscle in my right shoulder out about 6-7 wks ago moving funiture around in my livingroom while painting the room so I am a one armed bandit so to speak it is taking me 10 times longer to get my boat ready to put in the water & in the middle of some Mods ! and with the weather being the pits decided I might as well finnish off some of the Mods as I cannot sail or lets say it is not wise to sail alone while one is high on pain killers
. Beene offered to take me sailing this wk-end but it was nothing but pouring rain & thunder storms ! so I said if I am going to get wet might as well be while working on my boat . Yep using electrical tools cutting & drilling with mast up in the rain & thunder & lighting all around me
Calling for another 4 days of rain & storms
Q1, Bertrand
I feel for you buddy the weather has just been as a bad here my oldest daughter is coming in from BC, Christiane is coming in from QC , & the wk-end after my youngest daughter is coming up from the big TO so I'm hoping to get the boat ready & take the family sailing
my little ongoing project

Highlander,
I'm sure you will have a great time with all the family on your boat. You have an awesome looking Mac there. Your daughter from BC will be well tanned as they are having a wonderful summer out there. My daughter in Vancouver is having trouble working in her business cause its seems they are having to much party weather.

p.s. Now..... getting hurt moving furniture goes to show you should have been doing stuff in the boat instead.
