Nice ladder, the fenders look strong enough to stand on if careful and it's a dually. I like it, how much?

Very nice indeed! I like the vertical winch-stand with steps to the bow, and that handrail looks strong and reassuring.

You got the torsion-bar axles, right? And it looks as if you had the dealer drop the bunkboards to the frame. Does the bow stay clear enough of the "Y" at the hitch-rail? (I see you added a roller at the end of that tube, and another where the bow bunk would be on a regular Mac trailer.)

I have a Sea Lion S-23-5000 on order with a dealer here in Maryland. One of my neighbors got a Sea Lion with leaf-springs for his 26X, and it looks taller than I'd prefer; so I ordered mine with torsion bars, and asked them to drop the bunkboards as low as they'll go. I'm also getting "bunk slicks" instead of carpet covered bunks.

David, the fenders are diamond-tread steel, very rugged. The trailers are fairly light, about 1000 pounds - that's 300 pounds heavier than the Mac steel trailer - but rated for a 5000-pound boat. I'm paying a bit over $3000 for mine.
But ... :( ... sorry ... they're made in New Jersey. The shipping costs to California would be murderous for you.

Best find a trailer built locally ... Costa Mesa is not that far away from Anaheim, is it?

It came in at $3150 with all the Mods, (in tax-free NH). It's an S-24-T-5400B Tandem w/Disk Brake. http://www.traileroutlet.net 964 Laconia Rd Tilton, NH (603) 524-4344. Ask for Joe. You can stand on the fenders all day, and with the lifeline down I can even climb onto the boat from there. The boat sits a little taller than the Mac Trailer, by a few inches. So, I had Joe lower the bunks as far as they would go, but the center bunk had to be raised touch to support the Centerboard. We've launched the boat, (it's on a mooring), but haven't recovered yet. However, with the three rollers from the Y forward, it's well supported. I added some more pics http://s337.photobucket.com/albums/n370 ... mview=grid

Thank you for the extra pictures! I'll take them up to my dealer and ask him to add the bow rollers, at any rate.

I'm paying a bit more for mine - plus Maryland sales tax (which I'd have to pay if I imported the new trailer from NH - oh, well.)
Part of the difference is the torsion-bar axles, which will reduce the height a few inches.

Do you have brakes on both wheels or just one? Ive always wondered if you need both sets braked on a dualie...

Disc brakes on both front wheels. Nothing on the back wheels.

Finally got Bossa Nova on her new trailer ... Schweeeeet!

My trailer doesn't have the low bunks that SailDog has, but I ordered bunk slicks and no carpets ... and I have the torsion-bar axles, so the frame sits lower. It's solid as can be, and no MacBump needed - it cranks up to the stop easily, even on a slight uphill incline.

The only think I'd change would be to get a winch strap instead of the steel cable that came with it.

Worth the $3600 (with Maryland tax and 10,000-GVW tags) I paid for it.
