Re: WANTED TO BUY 26S
Speedo, have you ever seen a 26S advertised here in Australia?
I thought that someone with more knowledge than I might have answered your first post by now.
I can't recall having seen any Macgregor advertised here other than the X and the M.
In the main Macs are imported by the three companies that you will see advertising in boating/cruising type magazines.
Some people have imported their own boats privately from the US but they are in the minority.
There may be 26S type boats here, I could be totally wrong, but I can't recall any reference to one.
What attracts you to the "S"?
C ya.

Re: WANTED TO BUY 26S
Speedo, I just looked at Boat Point. There is one "S" in W.A. but there is a "Mac 25" in Redcliffe for $22K that looks like a well cared for boat. Its on a dual axle trailer.
There is also a '95 X fairly cheap.
Good luck.

Re: WANTED TO BUY 26S
Hi Speedo,
I know it is some time since you enquired but I have only just come across your enquiry.
I purchased a 26S back in August, 2010 and am very, very happy with the boat for what I want to do - mainly just sailing the Broadwater and the Bay with my 2 teenagers. I know there are a few 26S & 26Ds in Australia as I have tracked down at least 4 other boats so far, but none of their current owners - I have spoken to one ex-owner (who was very happy with his 26D) but do not know where his ex-boat is now. My boat has been in Qld since 2004 and I know there has been/is a 26D somewhere in Brisbane. I do not have the name painted on my boat at yet but it is named "Myuna".
If I can be of any help please let me know.
Cheers
