Finally, got my 26S in the water. No major problems, but Tohatsu motor kept jumping out of reverse. Hotter than a firecracker though 95 degrees F with 90% humidity and not more than a whisper of wind. Sweated out a lot of bourbon from the night before though.

Great being out there. I've got a short punch list to finish before next time. Dropped one of the circle keys over the side and luckily had a cotter pin handy in my toolbox. Just the little things that will drive you crazy. Hope it cools off sometime for the next sail. High temperature and humidity not fun on a old fat boy like myself.
Bimini is on the short list now. It was covered in bird droppings where previous owner had stored in a barn. Toying with idea of hooking some type of mister system on it. Similar to the ones used in poultry houses to keep the birds cool. Fill one of those stowable plastic water talks up with ice and water and hook to a small electric pump to mister nozzles and have it pipe over our heads.
Unless you have big lizards or large fish with big teeth just jump in the water every hour or so instead of having a mister unless you are female of course and mister nozzle is very cool.
