Victor,
How did you get 27 gallons under the cooler? I put a Nauta bladder type tank under there, same spot as yours, but when it gets to 16 gal the cooler liner begins to lift up. It fills the entire space except for outside the ballast tube.

Re: What is the best water system to install?
Is there any manual presurised system like the ones for the new porta potties to be used for the galley and head sinks ?
I think it will be a lot better to be non electrical dependent for this array, so this way you can pre-pressure de system and then just wash your hands or dishes.
Thank you

Thanks for all the input. Im going to install the variable speed self priming pump that will give me 40psi. They make a version that doesn't require an accumator tank. I think Russ mentioned that. I personally like Duanes idea of the 5 gallon Coleman jugs. That way I can bring water from home as I need it. As of right now I'm only going out for one or two days so I dont need alot of water. Its hard when you have two kids involved in sports and jungling all that on weekends. I'm lucky to get an overnight in. I guess this will all change when they move out.

I've got one like this. Basically it has a pressure switch that cuts off when it reaches pressurization. And no accumulator tank and it is self priming. More than enough pressure for my faucet. Now for a washdown pump, more pressure might be worthwhile.
It's extremely easy to install. Intake from source, out to faucet, 12v wire with switch and fuse and it's done.
There are many tank solutions depending on your needs and how complicated you want to make it.

[quote="DaveB"]The only problem is weight, general rule is for every 100 lbs you add you need 1 to1-1/2 hp more. This means my Honda 50 can't cut the mustard and need a larger engine. Mine is 13 years old now and looking at the 60hp Merc. Big foot or 70 hp 2 stroke. I am bow heavy the way I am set up now with twin group27 batteries in Vberth and we store all our stuff in the Vberth. Also concerned with the two drain outlets at waterline with no seacock, may put in two brass ball valves for shut off or put a outer line over and clamp as a backup.Fully loaded I am at 3400 lbs boat and 1050 trailer.
The Idea of putting in the extra tank is for showers, our 10.5 gal easy lasts for 6 days or more. and we also carry about 5 gals in drinking water.Just would like to use more than 1/2 gal. per shower.

I have a Plastimo 26 gal water tank behind my 2 batteries in the forward Vee Berth and find my X is balanced perfectly. I also have a lighter Nissan 50D. The fill for the water is located in the anchor locker. The pump is in the center of regular Vee Berth lazerette, the only issue is where I located the pump switch, on the bulkhead?

I went with the pump, 25 gal collapsible tank in the storage on the starboard side in V berth and faucets that have installed off/on switch. This allowed me to wire both head faucet and galley faucet on the same pump and use both as needed and they work together too (like when I need to empty the tank for winterization). Simple system, just open the tap and water flows. I only regret buying a cheap pump that is too noisy.
