Pretty S@#T sailing season
Pretty S@#T sailing season
The moss growing on my 26X is nearly worthy of ploughing and planting potatoes....ever time I say to the wife...."Lets go sailing",it starts to rain, flood, blow cyclones etc etc And then to top it off...went sailing on the beach(Blokart) and busted a carbon fibre mast...well 3 sections worth $375

Re: Pretty S@#T sailing season
Yes, we have not been able to get out for about 8 weeks now.
Did make one attempt just before Xmas. I had just turned the radio on and as I moved back to hit the starter button a securitay warning came over to warn of an electrical thunderstorm approaching. Straight back on the trailer and back home - that was Xmas holiday sailing for us!!
Anyhow I guess we have not had as tuff a time as some others of late - and pending so, up north, tonight.

Glad to hear your daughter is getting out of the place altogether. Wish more of my friends in FNQ had decided to get right out of the place rather than moving to 'safer' ground. It looks like getting unbelievably ugly.

Re: Pretty S@#T sailing season
Our problem has been time, wouldn't worry me if we anchored up river where there is no phone reception and sat there doing nothing with a canopy over the cockpit to keep us dry, there's too much work at the moment ... our shortest working day this week has been 15.5 hours, then we had to take care of the paperwork.
I'm jealous of those that can get out on the water at the moment.
All I want is a holiday.

You're just living on the wrong side of Oz. Try Perth beautiful one day perfect the next
. Even our so called cyclone on Sunday turned out to be drizzle and a king tide...no more windy than normal.
I do feel for the people caught out in Qld with first the floods now a massive cyclone

We'll look forward to seeing you over here. Clear warm waters and clear skies, with predictable winds...what more could you ask for?
