Anyone heard or sailed in a Haber?
Nearly there on an X or M decision, great all round characteristics and the camoraderie of the owners is simply the best! Have sailed an ODIN/Imexus not worth the extra £££ IMHO. Haven't experienced the EDGE in the flesh, but in pictures and on video it does not grab me.
Before the final decision is made, another boat has grabbed my attention.
It looks interesting, not much information about anywhere?

With a 25HP inboard diesel option more of a motor sailor than a power sailor. Can be rated for CAT B in europe.
Would welcome any personal opinions or experiences.

But it has some very nice rigging idea's that I certainly could adapt !!
, also very interesting aditional forward C/B under the V-berth "extra option" for pointing into the wind !!
also about the same beam as a Mac

I like the Pilot House idea for striper Season in December. Funny it has a wheel inside but a tiller outside, I wonder how they work together
I wonder if you can control the sails form inside the Pilot House. The only bid thing I see wrong with it is the price, it is in Euros which is more than USD.

Re: Anyone heard or sailed in a Haber?
I would bring up the same question road soldier noted, can you control the sails from the pilot house? the engine from the tiller? are they linked together?
That spec sheet Québec 1 linked says "gelcoat and laminate" as the hull and deck material, which would have me concerned. Is it wooden laminate similar to how plywood is made and covered with gelcoat? is it a cored sandwich construction as laminate simply means it's layered in some way? I see no mention of fiberglass or aluminum as hull material (which my insurance company gives a discount for). If there is wood, or wood cored material, then there would likely be maintenance more often down the road when parts rot out over time and need repair/replaced.
The overall design and rigging looks of interest, but material and weight would be my concerns. One of the primary reasons I chose the Mac is the solid fiberglass construction.

Neat looking boat. Very stable beating in that vid.
Great price is debatable as everything except the hull is a billable option. Everything.

Re: Anyone heard or sailed in a Haber?
Back in the day, 70's I sold a trailerable boat from "International Marine", made/based in Florida, long since gone the way of most small boat builers. That looks like it. Was costly back then. Well made but too heavy to sail well. Pretty, lots of wood, standard features aplenty. Full keel, shallow draft, hard to tow, launch and rig. I like to see the old ones. Just go to Lake Havasu trailerable sailboat rondevoue and see all the worlds small boats, anything worth seeing.

Thanks everyone, read all of your replies with great interest.
It goes to confirm if you want the best value, most versatile powersailor. There are only two letters that apply 'X' or 'M'.
