Center board replacement
I am not sure how but I have lost my center board on my 98
. Any ideas on getting a replacement or is this something that I should try to frabricate
The two pins that the center board connect to look to be ok.

Re: Center board replacement
I replaced my board just this March.
You can get a replacement from Blue Water Yachts. http://bwyachts.com/
Board cost: $233
Crate: $30
Shipping: $65 to me in NC from them in WA. (totally from the West coast to the East coast, so yours will be less)
All the holes were drilled so it was easy to put back in. Of course I did some mods to it... see my web.

Re: Center board replacement
I purchased a spare for my 26m when I bought the boat from boats4sale.com. He had more in stock so you might want to contact him.

Re: Center board replacement
Bill is a great Guy/ Dealer.. That said :
The Dagger Boards found on all M's ....are NOT usable for replacement as a center board on any X
ON EDIT
ALL X's have CB's, so a M's DB will NOT be interchangeable!

I agree, Bill was fun and informative too deal with. I was going to rig my boat a certain way but bill then showed me his rig package. So far I am glad I Iistened to him. As I gain more experience I am sure that feeling will increase.Divecoz wrote:Bill is a great Guy/ Dealer.. Re: Center board replacement
Maybe there are a good idea to make your own board of ferrocement with stainless frame and lead in bottom - the original board are to ligth in weigth and not tick enough so it rattles in the nigth .....

Re: Center board replacement
I am surprised to hear a dagger board was usable on ANY year X boat. Could I be misreading the meaning, or has Bill just stated it carelessly ?Divecoz wrote:Bill is a great Guy/ Dealer.. Re: Center board replacement
I still have the bracket it looks to be in good condition. I just got a centerboard and upper mounting bracket from BWY, costs were the same as above.
I have been reviewing the ideas on this board on how to install it and will let you know my out come.
