Joel,
You'd better take a crash course in mast repair or show up in your mastless cabin cruiser. No excuses!

Victor,
Good luck with Irene. Maybe Jim can use his security clearance and Pentagon connections to change the path of the storm.

Doug,
I just have one word for you- Canon
Call me when you get to Florida. I will be on the boat doing repairs/prep work from Monday to Thursday.

Jim,
Get that storm turned eastward!

I'll be southbound in three days. If anybody needs anything let me know.

John

Greetings,

I arrived to Jacksonville earlier today and plan on heading out to the boat tomorrow for some clean-up and pre-deployment maintenance. If any out of towners need help with logistics or have any questions about this weekend please PM me. If you have my phone number already please use that instead as I will be away from my computer for the next 11 days.

On I-95 in SC on the way. Just came across a Mac pulled over on the side. It was Billy towing XX (Double Cross) and he had a flat. We stopped to check on him but he had everything under control and was almost finished.

We will both be in FL soon.

Cheers,
Jim

Had an absolute blast. 13 Macs! Here are a few photos to tease those who couldn't make it.

This is what happens when you don't move your boat off the beach at night like everyone else. (first-timer mistake) Not a problem though thanks to a little ingeneuity and Konig's 40hp monster!

More to follow.

3 more:

Cruising the intercoastal on our way to St. Augustine

Image
The other boaters in the marina had no idea what was going on. FIrst one Mac pulls in, then two more, then four more. then five more. 13 total. MAC INVASION!!

When you have 140 horses hanging off the ass of your boat, its ok to drive with your feet.

Once I have all the others on photobucket, I'll share a link. Thanks again to Jim and John for setting this up. Can't wait for next year.

Hi All,

Windezvous and "The Ocho" along with crew made it home without incident this evening. Thanks to all for a great weekend!! Kevin and I laughed all the way home talking about all of the antics that went on. As always, we continue to learn a lot about sailing, navigation, and also at least one new vocabulary word. :P Looking forward to another get together soon. If I can figure it out, i'll post some pics.

Hey everyone! We also wanted to thank everyone for such a great time! We enjoyed a fun sail back up the st john to the ICW this morning! Galactica's Florida journey isn't finished yet! We are just outside of Destin/ft walton beach and intend on putting her back into the water tomorrow! Weather should be fine when we get to the ramp!

We'll post pics and vids when we return to Missouri! It was well worth the 1200 mile trip ( so far ) along with our own blown tire and that dang Georgian flying peanut!!!

We hope to do it again!

Doug and Angie
