Fun and games

Post by shanker »

What are some of the things that you folks do for kicks and giggles while on the water? I"m thinking of pulling a tube or something like that. 8)

Do you think that sailing at 4 - 6 knotts you could pull a single tube? I thought it might help to get the kids out on the boat.

All kidding aside, I have thought about towing a tube behind as well. Not sure it would be much worse than towing a dingy, but depending how much weight is on it might impact your tack and jib ability. Also, careful how far behind the boat you are towing your kids. I don't think power boaters will be expecting it.

(I know, wrong peach)

Multi-person tube and small "floating platform" for jumping off and swimming.

The Michigan City, In, marina is just east of Mount Baldy (http://tinyurl.com/6766ejy) - part of the Hoosier Dunes National Park. Boats can pull right up to the beach, tow tube in 3-5 foot of water (or deeper if desired), set up grills, etc. Beach on the other side (east) has the usual buoy markers limiting how close boats can come in.
