Mac 19 With 115 HP

Post by andarlite »

When I first saw pictures of Highlander :mac19: on this forum, I thought wow, he out did every :mac19: in existence. Well, it turns out that one fella beat him out in the motor area ..... check it out, a 115 HP outboard on a :mac19: :

The guy claims he can pull 2 water skiers.

Can this damage his transom or boat? I thought it was rated up to 40HP?

What are these ratings based on? What the construction of the boat could handle?

When I looked at the pic in the link, the boat looks just like every other Mac "M" I've ever seen................

Not sure who or how it was called a "19"

The 19 looks very similar to the M. Look at the rudders.

The :mac19: had the same "2 black stripe" look as the :macm: , but that's definitely a :mac19: -- stubby rudders, hard chines, no wheel.

It is named a "19" because it is 18' 10" long. Dry weight (no engine) is 1,250 lbs. It is a much smaller boat.
