Removing table seats ?

Post by Ronnie_D »

Hello All:

I am trying to remove the seats for the table area in my 1972 Venture 22. The screws that go into the trunk are just turning and not coming out. I tried to put a pry in behind and turn the screw but it still turns and does not come out. Are these screws or bolt with nuts on the ends? I can't see them being bolts and nuts because how would you hold the nut to tighten them if it is at the top of the trunk?

cheers,
Ronnie.

Please explain. Aren't seats fiberglassed into in to hull? We had a '72 V-222 also.I think that seats add to integral strength. Fair winds and full sails...Old salt...
