Jimmy Buffett - The Great Filling Station Holdup

Not a trivia buff, but a Google buff.

This time of year, I like the old Willie Nelson song:

On the boat again,
I just can't wait to get on the boat again.
Goin' places that I've never been.
And I can't wait to get on the boat again.

On the boat again,
Like a band of pirates, we go down the seaway.
Insisting that the wind be blowin' our way,
And our way.

On the boat again,
Just can't wait to get on the boat again.
The life I love is sailing with my friends.
And I can't wait to get on the boat again.

I dont play anything when on the boat...I like the sound of the water and wind in the sails...thinking of taking the XM along to listen to Old Time Radio after we hit the sack.

Smooth jazz on the water

Post by tlperrine »

There is something about good smooth jazz, winds and waves, you can't beat Chris Botti's album "Slowing Down the World" and "Night Sessions".

After a beautiful day on the bay with the sounds of bow slicing the waters, the wind in the sails, a glass of old vine zinfindal and smooth jazz at the slip works for me.

great suggestions

Post by Russell »

It's great to here all the suggestions and I have added some to my ipod collection. I also came accross some great folk songs from "Jonathan Edwards" that go along with sailing very well. He is popular for that song "Sunshine"(go away today) but alot of his songs are really good.

I've found the public library to be a good source of music for the iPod.

I usually sit around in the evening and play ukulele. This is a picture of what I just got this year. Its my new pride and Joy.

Its an Ovation Acoustic/ Electric Soprano Uke. If I cant play the song well, I sing loud to drown out my playing. If I cant sing it well I.......... You get the iidea.

(Pictures can be decieving, Its only about 16" long)

I know this is VERY loosely Mac related but I havent had much chance to show it off so you's guys and girls get the honor!

You just cannot beat "Cool Change" by Little River Band. A true sailing song. "The wind and whales they are my brothers."
