Here are some photos of the current boat at the time that i purchased it after putting on new wheels and tires to get it home. There are also photos of it as it is now after major clean up and several repairs. It sat around in the sun with sails on deck for 10 years in the devastating New Mexico sun. Thanks! Yeah, it really is, was a little dirty, but had bottom paint which appears to have been effective. Not one blister on the hull.. The rudder was a different story it was quite holy(broken open blisters!) Unfortunately the bottom was sanded and then coated so even though it feels smooth, it looks quite discolored now that all of the coating has been removed.

Congrats on the boat and you are going to have fun with her.
On the bottom paint if it was anti-fouling, which it kind of looks like it was, it won't prevent blistering. You need to put an epoxy barrier coat under the bottom paint to do that. Now saying that not all boats will get blisters and if that boat has been in the water a lot then it looks like it might not be a problem. That is good.
Our boat had a bare bottom and no blisters, but we didn't know if previous owners had ever had it in the water for extended periods so we put barrier paint (and followed that with bottom paint) before we took her down to Florida. It might not of been necessary, but it was easier and cheaper to just do it than take a chance and possibly have to deal with blisters,

Quick update. Santa is bring new sails! Coming from Peak sails. A new cruising main 6oz Dacron and 5 oz 150% furling genny!
