i am on lookout for a bow pulpit-stanchions

Post by littledevil »

hi. is there any way to get a used one taken out of a junk boat? i have checked ebay and they also expensive. i would be intersted if anyone have an extra that would fit to a v17. should i check local boat yards? or a decent price new one from online resource?
Stanchions that are pre drilled are pricey too. i am thinking about just getting 1 inch stainless steel tubing and cut/drill them. i have only checked defender so far.

Maybe the mods could put up a yardsale section. People who make a 15 dollar donation could post items less then 200 in value. I have stuff from my boats I would list there. Oddball products from microfabricators could go there as well.

There is a place in Sacramento, CA called Shipwreck Marine. They strip pretty much everything off of wrecked boats and resell. They have an interesting assortment of parts at their shop, not sure if they would ship or what. You might try to give them a call and see if they have something. (916) 635-1945

Good luck,
