Hi,
We broke a rudder (never mind how!) on our 2 week cruise around the Abel Tasman National Park. Now We're home and I can find M rudders in NZ, but would they fit on our X?

Hello! M and X rudders are very different and are not interchangeable. Also depending on the year there are two different rudders for the X. Send an email to accessories (at) bwyachts (dot) com Gail can answer your questions and ship you the correct rudder.

This would be a good time to order a pair of Ida rudders. As long as you have the newer style stainless brackets (the older models used aluminum which cracked and broke) it's a simple bolt in job. Your boat will point and handle much better.

Thanks for the ideas...
If I can't get it repaired locally, I'll either buy one from BWY or two from IdaSailor... Has anyone successful repaired a break like this? It might be too far gone...
