I feel for you Marta. I've only been seasick once but it was bad and long. I was on a fast attack submarine running on the surface out of New London, CT. It was too shallow to dive so we had to spend 8 hours sailing through a storm. I didn't care if I lived or died; nothing helped. Of course looking at the horizon wasn't an option.

Never been seasick but my wife has the problem. One of our Venture Yacht Club members introduced the club to a pill called "Sturgeron". Unfortunately it is not available in the US - only in Mexico, parts of Europe and I believe Canada. I only know of one person in our club that the pill didn't work on. It costs about $1 per pill and lasts 24 hours. Unlike all the seasick remedies we have tried, it also doesn't seem to have any side effects such as drowsiness, etc. It is available over the counter in Tijuana.

( Speaking from personal experience, not expertise) She obviously has some stress about sailing/boating etc.
1.She probably has some anxiety before ever leaving the dock...
2.ANY additional stress will make it worse.
3.You gotta' get her on the wheel and keep her out of the cabin. If she doesn't "get" how to steer this may help, http://www.nationalgeographic.com/volvo ... index.html
4.Also, fewer people seem to get sick at higher speeds. Sometimes speeding around for a while under power-getting the wind blowing and changing the motion of the boat- seems to help.
Lastly, if you find a "magic bullet" that works...let me know
