Replacing the Forestay with roller furler
Hey all, I'm getting to replace the forestay on my
with a CDI FF2. It seems simple enough but I was wondering if anyone else had done this and had some words of wisdom to pass along.

You're not going to replace the forestay with the furler. You're going to put the furler on the forestay. Might want to get a new forestay made up or ordered if you haven't done so in the last few years while you're at it.

Re: Replacing the Forestay with roller furler
I picked up an OEM forestay from BWY the furler was already in place when I purchased the boat . I was just wondering if anyone had tips; like using fish tape or using the old stay to pull the new one through the furler...

Re: Replacing the Forestay with roller furler
Sorry. I get the post now, read that totally wrong!
Just push the forestay through. The cables stiff enough to make it with no problems. should take less than twenty min to take down and reinstall with the mast up. Make sure you have the tiny cotter pins for the turnbuckle and a spare incase you lose it.
