A couple of months ago I bought an old 1969 Macgregor Venture 17. I've sailed it a few times and have had a lot of fun.
Naturally, I'm beginning to think of things to do to it. Lights would be nice. There aren't any wires in it anywhere or any sign of a battery or place where a battery would have gone.
Does anyone have any examples of where I could put a battery, or recommendations, links for setting up an electrical system on this boat?
Also, I'm planning on getting an 8 hp Tohatsu with the alternator on it, but I don't want to do that until I get an electrical system for it to plug into.
All comments appreciated.
Thanks,
Randy Jones

Re: Venture 17 battery and electrical
Hi Randy,
Did you end up wiring your boat? I have a venture 17 that needs lights and a battery also. If you have anypictures or advice I would greatly appreciate your help.
Best,
Clint
