Forestay Length

Post by Doctor Z »

I had a trailering mishap (don't ask) that ripped my 2005 M forestay in half. I'm getting a replacement made locally but need to know the exact length. My old one was sufficiently mangled so I can't determine from the old pieces.
I called the factory and they were going to check and call me back but never did.
I Googled the length but got conflicting results - the manual stated one length that an owner didn't agree with.
So, anyone know the exact length? - Also, I need to know how it's measured - from the end of the mast fastener loop to either the end of the turnbuckle OR to the end of the threaded terminus of the forestay that the turnbuckle screws into.

Thanks Y'all!

Could swear I read a thread on here about rigging a rope, taking some measurements. I too was looking for measurements and other than ordering one from bwy (is that still active, I can't get their parts finder to work) I couldn't find exact measurements. OEM has a turnbuckle, so.. Not exact? I am very new (read ignorant) so... Grain of salt.

As far as the BWY partsfinder, I cannot get it to work on my work computer with IE but it does work on my personal computer with Firefox. Either it is the browser or the security settings.
