Has anyone modified they're 26X to have the Main Uphaul coming back to the Cockpit?
I'm just trying to think of ways to make life easier. Also keen on not having to keep shouting back back from the Mast to my wife in the Cockpit to "keep her into wind!" .
I had a similar system on my old Hunter Horizon 23 (which I sold when I left the UK in 2010), as well as Lazy Jacks.

Our Mac26X has all controls back to the cockpit....about to set up lazy Jacks c/w zippered sailbag/cover so my wife can just furl the Genoa/jib ,drop the main and start the engine. So some turning blocks currently coming off the base of the stanchions and 4 rope clutches 2 per side on the deck either side of the sliding hatch. Haven't drilled the deck for the turning blocks Yet!! but have fitted the clutches as the area is more accessible.Certainly a lot easier and gets the wife involved...I make her do the rope stuff ie raising the mast also comes back to the cockpit as does ofcourse the furling rope.

Can you post some pics or diagrams of how the Uphaul line runs back. I'm assuming it needs 2-3 blocks and a cleat, but I don't want to start drilling before I know wheer to place them.
Lazy jacks / Sail cover sounds ideal. Photos too please
No pictures as the mac is asleep under its winter blanket/tarp but its easy enough....fitted a spring mounted block to the base of the mast (one on each side)and the same to the stanchion base to lead the main halyard thru to the clutches (will fit flush turning blocks to the deck)....the other side is set up for our jib or possibly a kite /spinnaker which we currently don't use as we have a genoa set up on our front stay cw furling.Have actually fitted 2 clutches per side...but not sure how I'll utilise them.Still have to set up the reefing which would be good to come back to cockpit and the vang
