Auto Pilot

Post by shanker »

A year ago or so someone on this site was attempting to build an affordable auto pilot. I was hoping that he would be posting some info on his test as last I remember he was about to start his testing phase. Have I missed any updates? I can't find the original thread. I'm really hoping he was on to something.

That is/was vkmaynard. I believe it was getting too close to being a commercial product so the discussion was removed. I'm sure a number of people are waiting for it to come to a reality. If it does I'm sure we'll know soon enough. Here's hoping

PS, you're just up the road. What boat do you have? Where you sailing?

Hey Spector.

I agree, hopefully he nails it.

I'm at Gull Lake. I had a Mac 26X for a while and discovered this awesome webpage. I still regularly visit here as there are great people and lots to learn. I sold my 26X and moved into a Hunter 260. Couldn't pass up an offer on my X so I sold it. I like to go once a year to Kootenay Lake in BC or Pend Oreille in Idaho. Next year I'm going to do some more Alberta lakes like Ghost, Wabamun and Pigeon. Where do you sail?

We rent a mooring on Ghost. Just pulled it out yesterday for the year. There are a couple of 260's at the lake. We've also been to Shuswap and the San Juans this year.

Going to Whitefish next weekend and plan on scouting out Flathead lake for a possible trip next year. We've thought about Coeur d'alene also
