I just use one of the aft cleats for wakeboarders.

I was going to observe, use one (or both) of the aft cleats.

Re: When towing a Tube/Skiier - where to tie off tow rope?
Doug,
Thanks for the photo support!
We just bought the original "Allons-y!" boat from Mark and Helen. The name resonated with my wife and 3 kids (big Dr. Who fans). The boat and the way they rigged it resonated with me. It is also named, in translation from French, "Let's Go", which is the motto of the 325th Airborne Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division...an old unit of mine...that flew gliders into Normandy on June 6th, 1944 (my birthday several decades later).
So with all that crossover relations to our family, we felt this boat was a blessing unique to our family. We also want to honor the legacy that Mark and Helen started with her as part of this community. As such we are keeping the name "Allons-y!" and tagging our photos with the 2 so people know we are the second owner of a great history of adventure!
Respectfully,
David

Thanks Ray!

I didn't see a mention of it, but there was a thread recently about towing that will give you some more input to consider.

I use a floating tow harness that attaches to both rear cleats and hook the tow rope to that.

RobertB,
Do you remember where you got yours/brand? I thought I was going to do what you did...until the harness I ordered was delivered!
Too short...thus the two bridle system I rigged. I'd love to find an all in one (though the system I have is working fine...just takes more storage room).
thanks,
David

FYI, I just got one of these (no financial interest). Appears to resist "flipping" fairly well.

Where would you tie off the tow line? I am thinking that I need to install Pad Eyes for this not sure how difficult that is.

RobertB,
Thanks! That's interesting...below is the link to the one I got from Amazon/same manufacturer!! But mine is too short to link to the cleats (in my opinion). Thanks again!
