Yes, agree with the above. This site is hugely valuable to each macgregor owner as I myself have learnt alot from the posts etc. The Facebook site is intended to be the light hearted side of owning a macgregor. Posting short holiday videos, tagging YouTube clip, photos etc. Hope to see you all on Facebook. Facebook is a nice place to chat with friends, but it's really nothing more than a fleeting conversation. Anything you post has to be looked at within about a month or so... after that, it's virtually impossible to search for anything. So, as long as you've got a short attention span, I suppose it's a great forum. But if you want to post things that folks will see for years and be able to look back upon when they face a similar problem or need information... well... I'd like to think this forum does a better job. And if you're looking for a "group where like-minded enthusiast / Nutts can post photos and videos of their exploits"... well, I can't think of a bigger or more world-wide 'group' than this one... and one can certainly post links to photos and videos. And as noted, there are already quite a few Facebook sites for MacGregors... and each new one just dilutes and fragments the community and the message.

I agree. Definitely a need for this forum. Facebook is a bit of fun.Cougar wrote:I think there's a big difference between plain fun and useful exchange of information and experience. Facebook is just for fun, this forum is for eeeh, well, the more important things. So I embrace both concepts.

I dunno... I kind of thought this place was not only a really great reference, but ALSO a lot of fun. Silly me.
