The Wallabies are a world champion football team. We love em. The wallabys do get squashed from time to time too but they do less damage..BOAT wrote:What about the wallabys?

Actually, my son is coming to Australia for a semester abroad starting in February and running through June. He will be doing research at the University of New South Wales in the area of quantum physics and electrical engineering. The wife and I are also in the process of determining if we can join him there in late June for a visit before he comes home.Berber Boy wrote:Come to Australia. We drive over Kangaroos and Wombats as they stop in our path and gaze in wonder at our Navigation lights. Fortunately they do not seem to travel in shipping lanes but a few fishermen in tinnies with no lights do!

Wow, that's the land down under where there are lot of MACs all over the place and it's also where the best MAC mods come from. Most of the good mod ideas i have done came from the land down under.

kmclemore, NSW or Victoria are not the place to be in June, its cold, wet and horrible (not cold like you guys get, but cold for us)
In June Queensland is the place to be, mind you I wouldnt be in Queensland during our summer it cyclone season, hot, wet and VERY humid.
The grey nomads (retired travellers) tend to head north for the winter and south for the summer to get the best weather year round

I am sure you will enjoy it very much despite the attractions of Queensland in Winter time. There is still plenty to do and see down South with many bright days albeit somewhat fresh. We would love to catch up with you but will be on a cruise boat to the artic circle out of Dover at that time in June -July.. We live just an hour south of Sydney airport. If you want to PM me or your son for that matter with any questions please do so.kmclemore wrote:Actually, my son is coming to Australia for a semester abroad starting in February and running through June.
