Endeavour 37 ketch?yukonbob wrote:To give a hint and start an interesting topic (aka full blown argument) on people's ideal boat. Our wish list was as follows:
Blue water / extended cruising capabilities
Sea Kindliness over speed
Higher wind capabilities under sail with more sail plan options
Good tracking ability, especially in following seas
Classic extra salty lines
Not so big it becomes a chore to get out on the water (a little subjective)
Well that should narrow it down a bit.

Re: Mac-less
Well there is an owners forum for our soon to be new boat but no one has been on it since 2014 so that makes for dull conversation. I'll also still host a northern roundup but I'll prob be at the back of the pack from now on

Re: Mac-less
Currently in transit with survey first thing tomorrow. Maybe I'll show it off tomorrow if all goes well.
I know there's an owners forum cause this was an accumulation of two years of research and searching for the right deal to come along.

My guess is a Tayana 37... Currently in Victoria BC?
Based on the Westsail being on the right track clue

OMG! We should give out prizes for goshsakes....
Bob, it's a given that you've picked a great Mac-follow on so let the good times roll and tell us when we can come up for a visit! We're making Victoria this month.... next year - who knows?...
Good luck with the survey.

Re: Mac-less
Well still boat less
Some good rain the last few days showed the deck and core are totally gone. I also picked up on something really strange going on with the rigging so I called off the survey and bailout and will continue he search, but that's half the fun
Is there really a T37 in Vic? I would be very interested in that. I'll have to check.

Re: Mac-less
Better to figure that out now than a month after you bought it. Sorry dude. Good luck with your search.
