New Jib Info

Post by Ricky »

I just picked up a :macm: and the jib is disintegrating since it was left out in the sun for over 2 years. I need to buy a new one, most likely from Judy B as I've read a lot of positive feedback here on the forum. Any recommendations as far as size and options to get? These are the ones I'm referring to:

I'm in SW FL and will mainly be sailing this area. The boat will be kept on the trailer most of the time.

Thanks in advance!

My advice is to contact Judy directly - her phone number is on the website - and get her advice on what set of sails will best suit your conditions and expected usage. She's always eager to help and she knows her stuff.

If the sail has a UV cover, it's likely the stitching is rotted, especially in a Florida sun. It can be repaired relatively easily. If it's the UV cover.

Another vote for calling Judy B...her stuff is great and she will work overtime to get you what you need for your area and sailing preferences.
