But the lake levels did not drop, so your analogy wouldn't explain what actually happened.

Or you could argue that its just normal climatic variation that has not been seen since 1986.

Not getting into a climate warming debate (again), I just want a cleaner, less polluted environment for my kids and grandkids (yep Im going to be a Grandparent at the ripe old age of 55) to grow up in, that should be enough for anyone

Life's good from this side of the threshold. I became a Grandparent (Diedukas in Lithuanian, so I'm 'Papa Duke') at the ripe old age of 58.

We are likely too old to derive the full effects, IMHO, but our grandchildren will. Some of the comments in this forum might outlive us, and perhaps our grandchildren will determine our position on such isues some day. It's not global warming that will be damned.

Ummmm, that was supposed to be funny. Lake levels here at least are due to lots and lots of rain plus snow melt. PC is because her life jacket is pink, and so is the new one. See the teeny tiny print at the bottom of my post.

Gee I even take my 82 year old mother out for a sail in a dinghy, she hasnt made it onto the Mac yet, maybe this season as dad has now gone into a home due to failing health, she really enjoyed the dinghy but there was little more than a breeze, having the sails cranked hard on the Mac may not be her cup of tea, so maybe just a leisurely cruise
