unused jib
I was looking st some sails that came with my boat. I bought my X 8 years ago and finally am looking at these. I have an old but like new hank on jib to give away if anyone is interested, I live in the Denver area. I had seen in magazines about donating sails, but haven't seen the ad lately. Anyone know where to donate sails?

Re: unused jib
Im sure someone on here would be happy to take it off your hands. A X jib will also fit a M, not sure about the other models but I don't think so.

I've got one also! I don't think I'll ever use it. If anyone is interested, please let me know.

Re: unused jib
Gee I only ever use the jib, but then again we don't get many light wind days, my genoa is like new, not sure if its ever been on the furler but I dont think so, I might give it a go over autumn or winter, we tend to get lighter winds at that time of year.

Re: unused jib
I would take both jIbs off your hands (BrianW and C buchs) if you would be kind enough to send them my way. Mine is kind of just about done and I was just going to start looking for something else. Can you send me a message to work out the details?

Re: unused jib
If there are any extras id take one too. Since I don't have the furler I like to have a good selection.

Re: unused jib
How funny... I just logged in to ask a question about cutting down my unused hank-on jib to turn it into a solent-style storm jib! I guess it’s that time! Or the full moon...

Don't turn it into a storm jib. Just look for one on eBay or some place. If you don't mind a few stains they can be bought cheaply.

I don't know if anyone has sent me a PM about the hank on jib I have. I need to check that email. If you haven't, please do. I'll work with whoever is first.

Re: unused jib
I hear ya Ix... But i have the sail already, i have a sewing machine, i have thread, and i need the practice anyway. It will only cost me some time. I think I’m gonna give it a shot.Ixneigh wrote:Don't turn it into a storm jib. Just look for one on eBay or some place. If you don't mind a few stains they can be bought cheaply.
