Left Combate Puerto Rico Monday after a weekend of getting everything ready and storing provisions, clothes, filling water tanks, etc.
Today is Wednesday and was going to be a rainy day so we stopped at Patillas Puerto Rico after getting gasoline at Salinas Marina Tuesday and spending the night in mangrove at Cayo del Barco. Tomorrow if weather permits will head for Vieques 31NM from here. Then Saint Thomas and St John Island.
Made it to Vieques 30 NM @ 5.5 Knots still rainy but it looks worse than it was.
Installed a camera on the bow worked pretty good will improve on the install later. Used a cheap camera and a car transmitter and receiver connected to the chartplotter.
Screen shot on the Raymarine MFD at anchor. Nice water temp
Arrived at St John was a very bumpy ride today 6 hours to St Thomas filled gas tanks 20 gallons then head to St John arriving at 4. Will relax now at Maho Bay for a couple days before checking in to the BVI. And start sailing.
Left St John went to Tortola West End to check in now moored at Cane Garden Tortola.
Trip so far 163 Nautical Miles covered all by motoring. Sailing soon!
Cane Garden
On the boat at night 50 foot catamarans all around me
Wednesday Sailed 17 NM to Anegada. Autopilot all the way anchored behind the charter boats, patched dinghy that has a air leak.
Small waves and nice winds = good sail
Thursday. Stayed the day on Anegada. went to Anegada Beach Club for the day.
Friday. Sailed to Cooper Island 22 NM mostly 3.5 to 4 knots all the way except the last 7 NM it was 5 to 5.6 knots.
Saturday. Short sail to Norman Island for a total of 46 under sail and 171 motoring. Sailed downwind tested new whisker pole and preventer line setup.
Cleaned the yellow stuff off the boat bottom.
