Group buy Mac X or M trailer
I have been corresponding with EZ Loader trailers. They make an adjustable model in galvanized steel and aluminum which may fit X & M hulls. The trailers ship from Elkhart, IN. There are a number of dealers in the NW IL, NE IA, SE WI area. Anyone interesting in approaching a dealer with an offer to purchase as a group?

I am forwarding my contact 26M dimensions for compatibility. I will keep everyone posted.

Re: Group buy Mac X or M trailer
I found a midwest dealer that is willing to assist with a trailer mfg. Does anyone have a drawing with dimensions for an M steel or aluminum trailer. Anyone in the market for an X trailer please forward drawings/dimensions etc.

I am in the market for a new aluminum dual axle trailer for my 26M. I'm game for a group buy.

Having an extra rung or two on the front boarding ladder would be great......

Re: Group buy Mac X or M trailer
All IA and IL non-essential business are under lock down by govt order. Needless to say things are a mess here like other areas. Thankfully the number of Covid19 cases and related deaths have been minimal. I did send an email off to the local dealer regarding single and dual axle trailers. If anyone has a set of measurements for the X and M please post or forward to me. I have access to my '06 M trailer and can get measurements.
Stay safe and healthy.

Exactly what measurements for the
are you looking for? Boat or trailer? My
sits on a dual axle Sea Lion trailer plus I have the original Mac steel trailer.

These?
Note that my tongue weight is a little light, so if it were me, I'd move the boat forward a little relative to the axle, or the mid-point of two axles.

Where you could score some cash on a group buy is getting 4-5 together on delivery then drive down and pick them up and drop them off
The FOB DEST price is a lot more than the factory price

Re: Group buy Mac X or M trailer
Another original Mac X
trailer bites the dust. I am done for the season early here in Texas. I will have to contact Float on Trailers or Triad for a new trailer. I noticed one of my wheels leaning and discovered half way rusted through on the starboard side. Will have to temporarily weld it just to get it to water after I acquire a new one.

Re: Group buy Mac X or M trailer
That's a shame, but new axles are actually pretty cheap, even made-to-order axles with a particular length. Be sure, if you want that way, to get it with brakes, or with the little 4-bolt mounting plates at the very least so you can add them later.

Re: Group buy Mac X or M trailer
Great point, I really want a new trailer so I don’t have to worry about this one rusting but I could acquire a new galvanized axle place it on this trailer temporarily until newtrailer is ready then move new axle over to it.

Re: Group buy Mac X or M trailer
I have been shopping around and got a price for new aluminum trailer or my
all new $4,500. But I have found local galvanized company to sand blast the trailer and galvanized it . I will have a friend cut loose the sq tube install a new one that has the hitch receiver and re- weld the latter and winch back then install a new galvanized axle. I believe all this totals up under $ 1400.00
has anyone ever heard of such a project like this , advice?
