I think that I've now had one, or more, of every water ballast boat that MacGregor made: my first Mac was a '92 26C(S), then 26x (I had 3 of these): 1 - picked up by a tornado while still on its trailer and dropped on a fence with a 4x4 going into the stern berth. Fixed and sold. 2 - Another 26X. Sold when I got a 26M. Mac19 The only I ever sold, I bought it back from the original owner when he wanted to sell it. I sold it 2 years ago. 3 - I bought it back from the person I sold it to when he wanted to sell it. My wife said she preferred the 26X so we sold the 26M, kept that 26x until I sold it last year. Three weeks ago a buddy told me that he thought it looked like a Mac in a used car lot. I went over and bought it. A '90 26C(D).

This old gaurd is sailing the York River today with my son and a friend. Beautiful no shirt weather.

All mods working including the Suzuki 90, Billy AC box, Pressurized Water, Shore Power and my Autopilot.

New sails, New trailer great!

Love our Mac 26X.

OK Victor,

We get it :!: Stop rubbing our collective noses in it :D

It actually is a beautiful day here in the Philly suburbs, but tomorrow the bottom begins to drop out. I really don’t have much to complain about. Here it is October, and the weather is like May.

Hi Tom Root!

Really sorry to hear of your loss.
She is an important part of your life even now.
There is no way for us to actually understand your loss but please know that even as somewhat strangers but of like interests we’re all pulling for you. Taking the time to take care of your Admiral was a good choice and a testament to your Marine Corps heritage in the kindness and compassion you demonstrated in a most difficult time.

I sold my 2001 26X (Aquadawg) 2 years ago, due to health issues. I still think about that boat and good memories frequently, as I had that set up perfect for me (70Yammie,. 9.9 kicker, aluminum dual axle trailer, etc). I don't check in on the forum very often, but I hope everyone is enjoying their boats! I wonder too about Duane Dunn and his X, the Allegro. Years ago he had many a mod and adventures posted.

Great to see all you 'old timers' once again, we should have a reunion sail! Hard to believe its over 20 years, and that doesn't even count the old forum before this one.

I'm still taking nourishment! Like many we have a few health set back the past few years. This year we plan to put it in the slip early as possible. We are determined to pull the plug this year and retire at the ripe age of 77. I'm back on the bike this year san weather. If I can pedal my 8-10mi. an evening I will be good get on our M. I'm running the remaining lines (reefing & Asym) back to cockpit so I can stay off the deck. It is upper Miss River sailing but it shure beat mowing grass. I made the change to Glidecoat spring of '20 during lock down so no more oxidation, no more hours of buffing and waxing or NewGlass. One shot lasts the season (6mo.) in the marina sun of N. IL.

Fair winds and continued health to all. I have learned a lot from this forum.
