Hey Guys,
Again, asking questions about the 26M.
The Dagger Board enclosure or the structure that holds the board in place, what is it called in this forum?
Has anyone exposed it from the inside of the cabin and what do you think it is made of from hull bottom to the deck?
Thanks, Ed

That cavity is called the daggerboard trunk. I'm pretty sure it's just made of fiberglass like pretty much everything else on the boat. But, I haven't exposed mine or cut into it or anything to know for sure.

It’s fiberglass. I removed the carpet from part of it.

Yep. Fiberglass. It is probably also structural to hold the deck and mast from compressing.
On the 26M it is solidly attached to 300 pounds of resin at the base.
