1985 macgregor 22 single axle trailer

Post by Rxwoman »

Hi.
I've searched and searched, but cannot seem to find info on a used Mac 22 with a single axle trailer the seller says came with the sailboat.
I'm going out of town to look at it and wanted to know the wheel, tire and bearing size as if I do buy it, I want to be prepared for towing back (2 days drive) in case these need repaired or replaced.
Does anyone have this information?

Thank you.

Hi
I went through all those.
Quite a bit of info on the boats, nothing about the trailers, or wheels though.

Thank you.

My experience with the 26M trailer is that most of the major components were commoditized parts bought and assembled by MacGregor. My trailer “manual” was a collection of sub-assembly manuals from the original manufacturers. Eg. the surge brake cylinder, axle, brake calipers, tongue hitch etc.
you may want to try to find part numbers for the major components. With the 22 being so old the vendors for the components may be all gone, but you may be able to find some documentation from internet archives.
