Storage box for left front storage area of 26X?
I'm looking for a storage box that will fit in the left front storage area of 26X - the one just forward on the stove/sink.
Any suggestions?

We used gorilla construction adhesive and glued 1" X1" down each side and painted 1/2" plywood cut to fit that area and store our pots in there. We used this method in many areas to make level shelving and the glue is still holding after 10 years. We have the 1x1s about 3 inches off the floor and run our wires under the shelf.

I use these:
https://dollarama.instacart.com/store/d ... asket-each
They fit into all of the larger openings in the Mac benches.

The bottoms are around 11 inches by 11 inches. They are about 12 inches deep. They slowly flare out, so the top is around 14 by 14 inches. I've included a picture next to a pair of my size 10 shoes to give you some scale.
Note: if you purchase them, avoid the white coloured ones. Something in the dye additive weakens the handles. Every white basket that I've bought has broken, but the other colours have stood up to a lot of abuse.

Hi DiAndersson!
We’ve used the plastic ‘ammo boxes’ that are available from Harbor Freight.
They come in a variety of sizes. The smaller ones tend to work nicely and are gasket sealed so you don’t have to worry about any potential dampness aspects.
A future project we’d like to do is cut the inner face of that compartment you enquired about to make it side accessible from the companionway as we generally use the top of that bench as a place to store our cooler. If/when we do we will size things to utilize the same bins we use in our modified galley which came from Walmart. These are available in several different sizes and have worked really well for us.
