The tack is to far back to get the bottom of the sail tight

Post by Shane anthony »

The PO had this set up this way but I can’t get the sail right with the tack so far back. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated

Yeah, that’s not correct, as you surmised.

Get one of these.

Jimmy is right. You are missing part of your gooseneck. If the PO left you with some spare parts you might fight the missing piece in there. If not, Bluewater Yachts has then for sale.

Great thank you! I’ll make sure and check the online owners manual next time to. Not new to life but new to sailing.👍🏻⛵️

You’re correct, I do have a bag of doodads from the PO, I probably saw it and didn’t know what I was looking at. Thanks

My boat didn't have one when I bought it used, then when I ordered a new mainsail from BWY, they included just that part with the sail shipment. I didn't even know what it was for until I went to install the sail, somehow they seemed to know I would need a new one.
