AI Matey!

Post by tuxonpup »

Happy Thanksgiving all!

I'm thankful I received my new Ray Ban progressives this week as my old pair had so much crazing on the lenses it's like I'm seeing in HD all of the sudden! New wrinkle with these for boat trips, they are the Meta AI frames that can do live POV video capture, way better for when you're trying to sail and not drop your iPhone into the lake! I fed 7 stills into it's AI app for animation and published the results as a minute long montage of Macgregor related fever dreams;

That was cool. I have no idea what you explained. :D

That video is pretty cool. Is it the Meta app that creates the video? I still feel like video AI stuff is black magic.

If you're in Phoenix, you should pop up to Lake Pleasant and check out the local waters! Think you can even arrange to go out on a Catalina for the day. That's our next trip itinerary, one last run up to Lake Powell to tow the Guppy down to Lake Pleasant and be able to sail closer to home next season.

Yeah, it's the Meta AI app, I hadn't played with AI image generation much before getting these glasses on Monday. I looked at my mom, brother and nephew yesterday on the back porch, told Meta to restyle this as a boat sailing and it created that animated illustration immediately. Crazy. I opened up six older stills in the app, let Meta animate them and voila, instant boating reel!

(Note the swim platform it added to the back of the 26X in that first fly over animation, looks like AI is listening everywhere, creepy)

Watched it again and wow, there is a platform. Okay, I'm creeped out now. And I thought Grok was creepy.

Nice video!
I’m in the ‘black magic’ club when it comes to AI stuff… it is creepy the way it “listens” into what one is talking about or researching … the data mining is getting more aggressive :wink: :? by the day it seems…. Or did 1984 just arrive 40 years late…. :D :D
