Re: Swim & Fisher platform
For the Macgregor 26M, we have created a great, slightly different design, which is internationally protected, and the prototype is currently being made. It will be innovative, comfortable, and easy to use.
Please be patient.

Re: Swim & Fisher platform
Mac X owners, in response to the iXi teams response on price. I did contact them as per their post and ask about the price. Which, I passed on the this site. I did not state that I wanted to negotiate the price as they stated in their post. They did unsolicitely send me a $2900 email the next week. This I did not respond to but passed the info on to the group. I am sure that they must be referring to someone’s else’s email when they stated a desire to negotiate the price because it wasn’t me.

Re: Swim & Fisher platform
Anybody see this 26X in Ontario for sale on sailboatlistings with a swim platform supported by their radar bridge?

In a lot of cultures, negotiating price is a given.

Hi Tuxonpup!
That’s an interesting approach!?!?
I can see the two lines closest to the boat stern going up to topside cleats but I’m not sure that the weight of an adult or two wouldn’t bend the stock arch over.. but maybe there is enough support shared and platform stiffness to compensate. I’d like to see it in more detail
to see how they rigged it…. Maybe they rigged lines from the top of the arch forward to the top deck or something….

If it’s attaching to the rear arch of a Mac26M that arch is a WHOLE LOT STRONGER than I ever gave it credit for!!!

Re: Swim & Fisher platform
Hi All!
I may have bolixed up a bit in my prior post… I saw ‘radar bridge’ and my mind went to the factory Mac26M arch…
Thanks for pointing that out NiceAft!
The regular old Mac26X like ours doesn’t have an arch or bridge unless one makes it or gets it aftermarket… so if that’s the case here with a properly designed one with the example given there could be more than sufficient strength capacity to support that platform from it.
My bad for not making that connection in the first place.
I’d still like to see more if this though!
It’s really interesting!

Re: Swim & Fisher platform
It's a tall radar arch on a 26X, I just found it on my monthly 'Macgregor 26X for sale' curiosity google search: https://www.sailboatlistings.com/view/109938

Hi Tuxonpup!
Wow!
What a nicely set up boat!
That arch looks really interesting (and robust!).
It appears to be well designed and built!
Kudos to the maker!
We now have something to aspire to!
(After all the other things on the To Do Lists
)
Best Regards
