The factory does not have stock the masts for anything prior to the 26M any more, so your local dealer can only get you an M mast. Much of your hardware will not fit correctly, and it is significantly heavier. Blue Water Yachts is now the supplier for the original masts made with the factory tooling. We also can cut the sail feed slot and drill the rigging holes to match your original mast and ship it almost anywhere in the U.S. Call us at 206-282-4261 if you need one.

Check out the Macgregor Classifieds on this site. In Nov’25 there was a listing for spars (including mast) for sale in Cape Coral, FL. May still be available. Closehaul

Previous discussions = Look for a used one in your area, as close as possible.
Shipping a long piece of aluminum = more difficult than you might think.
Our mast is possibly not the best in the world, so a used one in the simular range would be easily adapted.

Hi Davetileguy!

To the best of my knowledge there isn’t a supplier of carbon fiber masts for Macs…
As has been mentioned in this post BWY has them in aluminum if you need a new one.

Not sure of the particular advantage there might be for a carbon fiber mast on a Mac other than weight as most of the wind load stress goes into the cable stays and deck base fitting…. But I’d like to know if there is as there’s always new stuff to learn! :) 8)
