Mast conduit
Looking over the posts here on antennas and the Mac mast, I have read several references on this board that the MacGregor26 site says the mast comes with a conduit for running wires and what not. I have looked over the site several times, and I can find no reference to this feature.
Would someone please tell me where the reference is?

Dense
I don't mean to be dense (or foamy for that matter), but I have downloaded their PDF file, searched that file, and did what I thought was a thorough search for the word "mast" on each of their pages. I believe your quote, it is the *where* I am having difficulty.

Ran the new wires for anchor light and antena last week. 2005M No conduit. Didnt need it. A piece of 1/2 inch pvc punched through the foam worked fine. There are three sections of foam about 3ft in length from the mast light up. Took about 30 min to run everything. No big deal, much easier than I thought it would be. Removed the PVC after I ran the wires. Replaced foam with a spray in. No need for the PVC and its weight aloft.

I too need this conduit
What I intend to do is to run a piece of 3/4" black landscaping /yard sprinkler tube down the mast weights less than 1 lb and is there forever.

I think we covered Pool Noodles earlier!Frank C wrote:Don't some pool noodles have a center hole? That seems a better bet than the factory's 26M mast-foam, OR a PVC conduit. With a bit of advance planning before sliding them into the mast, 3 pool noodles can float the mast AND silence the wiring (at least for a 26X-er).

I believe the idea of the foam was not flotation per se, but that the foam created watertight compartments that in effect turn the entire mast into a flotation device.
Punching holes through the foam and not resealing them, or pool noodles with holes already through them would pretty much defeat the concept.
