shhhhhhhhhhhh
this is a no wake zone.......
IF you are curious, look at his "cruising log" webpage.
lets just say........
it is an interesting place.......where the observations of facts and laws of physics occasionaly seem to not be present for consideration.
But I ask........... please let us not bring it back in here.
I still see the flames of those er.... heated discussions.
now for my caveats....
Others have very different impressions than I, and I am not making judgements of any individuals character.

Re: FM Antenna
Hi Jack. Is that the same type of antenna they put on camping trailers? I suppose if one is wealthy enough they could buy a satelite dish like the millionaires have on the big motorcoach RVs.Tahoe Jack wrote:Re antennas and TV, you may want to look at my mod posted under electrical....title was 26XMasthead...etc. I use a mast-mounted Triax TV amplifier...works great, and, when on the road, it rotates to horizontal and a jumper TV cable does the job. My AMFM came with a wire antenna lead...which I wrapped over the head door interior...works great. That is posted under a seperate mod.Jack

Thanks for the 'link' mclmore. BTW, doing that mod again, I would move the TV connection shown on the top of the hull near the mast base...to one side or the other.....my mast raising kit tends to mash that unless I am carefull. Otherwise...I am happy with the setup. Re the other side comments....not sure most of us recall what the substance is....but, for the new comers....it is not about me.
Jack (one thing about this damn cold weather....we all have time to play this board...15deg and falling at 7pm local....keep the dog in for sure).

Yep, wrong route. Try going down the side of the boat. Start from under the mast, then go directly to port, using the channel under the thicker part of the cabin roof, then go down the side of the boat. Wire should come out under the forward end of the galley.50/50 wrote:Thanks for the ideas.
How about some tips on routing the wires. I tried again last night and am struggling to work out where to run the VHF coax. Probably been trying the wrong route. (down the headliner underneath the hatch channels?)
