I think this is tow related as it is mounted on my tow vehicle.
My radio broke as i crossed over the local "Hip Hop, Pop and elevator music" station. Had to find a new one. The space behind the dash and my desire to use the original Bezel dictated a vintage unit. Off to e-bay I went.
While hunting for an original, they start at $225 and re-conditioned I-pod readies go for $399. I found this Gem and secured it for $127.50, it works perfectly and is mint!!
Yea, that looks pretty redneck. Does it need a separate CB antenna?
I actually like the analog continuous tuning knobs because you can hear when you tuning past a station instead of having to let the radio sit on the frequency and lock in before you hear anything. Another thing that's annoying on my boat AM/FM is that it always defaults to the mode where it decides if there's a station there. So if I want to go to a frequency and it thinks there's no station, it just skips past it. Next time I'll get a radio that remembers all the settings even when the battery is disconnected.

Yes in fact a separate antenna is required. I opted for redneck overkill and mounted dual mirror mount shorty bullhorns!! Its soooo cool (by cool I mean red)!
One of the neater functions is the monitor button whereby you can listen to the radio and when it detects a C/B transmission the radio signal cuts out and you hear only the C/B, then a second or so later the radio comes back. It also plays C/B tranmissions through the radio speakers.

Oh, no. I'm in NC and still have one of those. So just how redneck am I? (Oh, yeah. That's right. I've got a 140 on a MacGregor--pretty red. LOL)
Radio was originally in a '76 Cougar stationwagon years ago. Pulled it out before scrapping the car and installed it in a Ford LN7000. Fitted the radio hole perfect. Still got the radio and the truck--both still work.
You all can make fun all you want, but there's little that can compare to a fine ole truck, radio equipped, and a trusted flop eared hound that likes to ride in the back. My farming neighbor visited me last week in his trusted "old" rusted Diesel Ford F250 4/W drive with 320,000 miles on the odometer. We spent about 30 min admiring the trustedness of his hound and truck. Time well was well spent !
Hey Kevin: I dont think he wouldve understood if I complimented his nice set of knobs. He wouldve probably looked at the hound and said yeah.
Wasnt pickin' on Scott - just enjoying a 70s flashback....I actually had an 8 track stolen from a car once....gotta laugh at that prospect...most of the stuff I drive now is too old to steal...one of my bugs is so old it doesnt have a fuel gauge - you turn a tap on the floorboards to reserve when you run out....
