I've got my boat an old rusted out Taurus I use to tow it with.

Ever since Walmart built the Super Center a little farther out, I've been living on my boat in the old abandon Walmart parking lot.

Its been working out ok until now that it is getting cold.

1969 Corvette Convertable

1983 Harley Lowrider FXSB

I promised my wife I would sell the bike when I got my 99X two years ago, but I just couldn't do it. I bought the bike new in 83 and I guess after owning something for over 20 years, you become attached. Same thing with the Vette, bought it back in 81. (These were the days before kids and mortage payments.) I have to say that out of all my toys, the Mac definatly gets used the most, by far.

I had a Kawasaki KZ-750 for about 10 years while I lived in the Appalachian mountains and had lots of nice country roads to drive it on. When I moved back to metropolitan Florida several years ago, I got bored with it and sold it after a couple years. Was no more fun dodging senior citizens in city traffic...plus, gets hot when you are not moving.....I've kept my "M" classification up on my license just in case though.

When I was in my teens and twenties, I had a couple dirt bikes. A Suzuki 125 and a Yamaha 175...now those bikes were a blast and I still think about buying one as a new toy one day. A lot of power on a light frame is definitely a fun ride. Of course, 20 years later, maybe my body isn't up for it anymore. Kind of like middle-aged water skiing after not doing it for a decade or two

My problem with toys is that I get bored with them after a while. Like the 175HP jetboat I sold last year after playing with it for about 5 years...just gets old after a while. Too bad I couldn't afford one of those when I was 21 and trolling for chicks all the time though... 8) I'll probably get a convertible Corvette or something similar one of these days...when I have the time to play with it.

Now, my 2000 26X that I bought about 18 months ago...I think I'll be keeping it for a very very long time and its hard to classify it as a "toy" for that reason. There are always new things to do with it whether modifying, day-sailing, or cruising.....so it just doesn't quite seem like a toy.

Lovely... I see I have a brother in the English car biz! One question, though.. shouldn't that TR-6 be a 4-speed w/ OD? Or did you have a bit of bad luck with the gearbox? :?

Nope, no other story.. every one of them runs beautifully. Just had the Sunbeam out the other day and had a great fall-day top down ride.

Wife drives the Morris as her 'around the town' car on nice days... lots of room for groceries and the kid's sports stuff. And we use the Triumph for parades and for the odd evening out.

The 93 Honda and the Dodge are for sale (any takers?) :)
