Bottom Paint

Im new to Mac sailors but just baught a 2001 26x and need to get bottom painted in northern virginia.
any thoughts on where i might get it done. this is my first boat and im looking for a good job at fair price. :macx:

Obart,

Where abouts are you located? I am in Manassas. Kept my boat at Ft. Belvoir the last 8 months but moving the boat to Mayo, MD to sail the Chesapeake this season.

I have no info to solve your issue on paint...sorry.

Not that hard to do yourself and you'll save lots of cash. Be careful that it is done correctly. Especially the epoxy barrier coat. Some yards will take short cuts and put on too few coats or do not prepare the hull well. If not done correctly, you'll get blisters which could lead to major damage. It will cost you big $$ to get a bad job fixed. This is not an area where you should take short cuts.
