Well, I sold my. Saturday. I now have a Westerly 32 Renown to work on. Its been great learning from you all and I hope to see you out on the water some day. Ooooooooohhh, a Westerly ... they aren't so common, this side of the Pond. You're a lucky man, Sailor.
The Mac is a lovely boat to learn in - not only learn to sail, but learn to maintain a boat and customize her to fit your needs. She is a fine boat for gunkholing and weekending, and a great boat for traveling places you can reach by highway. She's a funny-looking travel trailer, but it's quite simple to raise her mast and sail away. However, she is very light for her size, and so she's not sea-kindly in any dirty weather.
The Mac X fits my current activities and my plans for the coming year or two. I hope there'll be a nice Westerly of like size waiting for me, or something else that's comparably stout and sea-kindly, when I'm ready to move up and move on.
