Slip fees

Post by korn_kid_12 »

How much do you pay for your slip or moring? What amenities if any does it include?

This last week on the upper Chesapeake Bay, we paid $35 with no electric and $1.50 a foot plus $6 for electric. Other places on the bay we have paid up to $2 per foot.

I was paying $240/month including water & electricity for a finger slip at Alameda Marina (just off SF Bay), with full-length finger docks (with dock-cleats) extending on both port & starboard of the boat. Due to our mild climate, I paid that rate 12 months per year.

But I just put the boat back on the trailer since I haven't be using it much. I was very pleased with the price & quality of the slip. Mast up storage on the trailer is $125/month, so the up-charge for the slip was only about $4 per day.

I am paying $206/month for a 30' slip on San Francisco Bay (south bay, Redwood City). This does not include electricity, but that usually comes out to less than $5/month. Amenities include dock box, restroom, showers, shore power. It's a full slip (not shared), so no worries about nicking any other boats when docking. I love having a slip. Just drive up, load the gas tanks, get things ready, and we're on the water in less than 15 minutes.

$2100 for the season.

Includes electric, water hose connection. grilling area, pet (dog area), shower and bath facilities, etc.

There's also a cafe and several restaurant nearby, plus a nice beach, park, children's zoo and outlet mall.

A 28x12 open of course here in New Mexico is $2754.80 annually, and no longer available with monthly options. They do allow a payment plan. Flushing bathroom with hot water is available. Same thing nightly is 30$. As other have stated it is a individual slip not shared. Morring options are available, per foot. here are some photos of the last time we spent a couple nights there.

$725/season
No power or water on the docks.
Marina has a store for provisions and showers and laundry.

Across the other side marina is about $900/season plus $30/month for electric and water on the dock.

Now my friend in NJ was paying $9,500 for a season, but he did have a pool at the marina.

Sorry to be a smart A.. but I don't pay anything. Venture/Macs were built to be trailered and in over 40 years of owning Ventures I have never, except for the occassional short stay, paid a dime for something I can hookup and haul anywhere. Plus I don't have hull maintenance to worry about. Jus' Sayin' Fair Winds and Full Sails....

Is that Marina de Sur? I was considering that, but couldn't justify the cost. I may end up doing the mast up storage at Elephant Butte which is a little over $500 a year.

$600/yr + $30/yr (yes, year) if I use electric. Water & electicity available on the dock. Club house, picnic/camp ground, showers, fuel, pump out, launching ramp, 24 hr live in manager/security, free WiFi, trailer parking, 10 minutes from my house. This picture was taken in March 2011, so not too full. Park like setting and very secluded. Quite pool above McNary Dam with about 30 miles of sailing up to Tri-Cites (Kennewick-Pasco-Richland, WA). Pacific Ocean if I want to lock down through the dams. Year round sailing. It 's usually full and there is a waiting list:
