The wire rope that holds my rudder down keeps getting cut. Fortunately, I took the advice of a rigger and put on a back up, so no crisis.
I suspect it is getting cut on the edge of the rudder post where it feeds in. Would this be happening if I don't have the rudder pulled all the way forward? Or do others put some kind of fair lead on the post so it doesn't chafe the line?
